PART ONE:
From the Renaissance to the Classical Period Tanisha explains how opera was created from Ancient Greek culture and developed with the beauty of the castrati voice to Gluck and Mozart’s revolutionary ways of merging drama with orchestration.
PART TWO:
Tanisha picks up from the Classical period and discusses how opera evolved from the inspiration of the castrati voice to Bel Canto and the rise of fuller orchestras in the Romantic Period. Notable composers include Verdi and Wagner.
PART THREE:
The last installment of this series features exciting opera developed in the late Romantic period that highlighted raw storylines of the poor and storylines based on history in the twentieth and twenty-first century.
